The Lake Braddock Secondary School Safe Routes to School Program is a joint program sponsored by LBSS PTSA and our school administration. We partner with many organizations in Fairfax County and Virginia which promote safety. Since every Bruin has a role in ensuring a safe route to school for our fellow students and staff, we welcome all voices and perspectives (especially students’!) in our discussions, activities and decisions. Our program was implemented in 2021, and our PTSA is a 501c3 non-profit.
usually from 5:30 to 6:30, via Teams
To report unsafe situations affecting students as they enter school grounds, please contact the main office or FCPD. It is important to report all crashes which happen in our school zone or which affect our walkers and bikers, even if no one appears to be hurt. Near misses are an important indicator which can identify dangerous infrastructure and conditions. Please report all near misses using this website: https://novasafestreets.org/near-miss-and-dangerous-intersection-survey/ Dangerous intersections and crossings cannot be made safe for our students if the school, VDOT and FCPD are not aware of them.
