PTA Scholarship Opportunities

FCCPTA is offering $500 scholarships in four categories:

• Academic: Students enrolled in a four-year, state-approved academic degree program.
• Technical: Students enrolled in a two or three year approved technical, vocational, or associate degree program.
• Fine Arts: Students enrolled in a school of arts, college of design or institute of the arts degree program.
• Special Education: Special education students (identified with a current Individual Education Plan-IEP) entering approved technical, vocational, associate degree or a four-year academic program. 

Applicant Eligibility

• Student must be a current PTSA Member by December 31, 2025 and meet the following eligibility:
  • Graduate from a Fairfax County Public Schools (FCPS) high school that has an active PTSA in good standing with Virginia PTA and FCCPTA as of December 31, 2025;
• Be eligible for one of the four categories and be accepted for fall admission to higher education program (only one category per student)
• Complete online application to include student statement. 

APPLICATIONS DUE: May1, 2026 

ELIGIBILITY:

• Applying high school seniors must be a student PTA member of a Virginia based High School PTA/PTSA that is in good standing with Virginia PTA
• Applying high school seniors should plan to enroll in one of the following continuing education options for the 2025-2026 school year
  • College/University four-year academic degree program
  • Technical, vocational, or associate degree (2-3 year) program
  • Institute/College of Arts, Dance, or Design
  • Special Education program within a technical, vocational, associate degree or a four-year academic program
